Our client’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) came to a complete stop on a major highway after experiencing a complete electrical failure. They had taken delivery of the brand new vehicle only a month earlier and was on their way to the dealership in response to various warning lights on the dash. Another driver struck our client’s vehicle shortly after it was stopped. Our client was transported by ambulance to the ER and had to return weeks later after suffering dizziness while at work. They had other follow-up treatment with an orthopedic doctor for neck, back, and shoulder pain. The vehicle manufacturer, car dealer, and adverse driver all contested liability. This case was litigated, and we reached a favorable settlement after numerous depositions.
