Woman Killed When Rock Flies Through her Windshield

According to news reports, the rock was dropped from an overpass and went through the windshield, killing her.

March 9, 2019 – 9:00 pm: Keila Ruby Flores, a 33-year-old mother of three, was killed when a rock flew through the windshield of the vehicle she was in. Flores was in the passenger’s seat of the vehicle at the time of the event. No one else was injured.

The accident happened on Interstate 35, where Flores was traveling from Austin to Waco with her boyfriend and three children.

As the car was going under a railroad overpass, someone dropped a rock the size of a football onto the vehicle. Flores was severely injured. She was taken to a hospital in Temple, Texas, where she died on Sunday morning.

Flores’ boyfriend, Christopher Rodriguez, and her three children were not injured in the accident.

At this time, police do not have a suspect in the incident. Temple Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for throwing the rock into the car.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing at this time. Temple Police will release more information as it comes to light.
