Two Workers Injured in Industrial Accident in Conroe

According to news reports, the two electricians experienced serious burns when an electrical panel they were working on exploded.

 

January 24, 2019 – 1:00 pm: Two electricians were injured in a fire caused by the explosion of an electrical panel they were working on in an industrial plant in Conroe. Both electricians experienced burn injuries and have been taken in for treatment.

The explosion took place at the industrial plant at 10625 Jefferson Chemical Road, in Conroe.

The facility was evacuated as a precautionary measure, and firefighters from the Caney Creek Fire Department were able to put out the flames quickly. Firefighters report that no chemicals were released during the incident.

The two electricians received burn injuries, but the extent of the burns and their current conditions are not available at this time. The identities of the burned electricians have not been made public at this time. No one else was injured after the original explosion started the fire.

The evacuation of the facility took place as a precaution, even though there was no order for an evacuation from the authorities.

The cause of the original explosion is unknown at the present time.
