Two Teens Killed in Central Texas Crash

According to police reports, the two 16-year-olds were out of school for Presidents’ Day when the single-vehicle crash occurred.

February 18, 2019 – 1:15 pm: Two 16-year old students were killed in a rollover crash just southeast of Comanche early on Monday afternoon. Patricia Deelynn Tubbs and Felicity Kidd were both natives of Hamilton, Texas, and both died as a result of this single-vehicle accident.

The crash took place on State Highway 36, where Tubbs was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado southbound at the time of the accident.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle swerved to the right and off the road, flipping at least once and coming to a stop on the driver’s side.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Kidd was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Tubbs, who had been wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was taken to Comanche County Medical Center. She was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.

Police have not commented on the cause of the accident at this time. The crash is under investigation, and more information will be released as it comes to light.
