According to Houston Police, the accident took place when the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
April 25, 2019 – 3:50 am: Two people were killed and a third was seriously injured in an accident that took place early on Thursday morning. The three victims are believed to be members of the same family, and the third victim is expected to survive.
The crash took place on Parker Street, near Dodson.
The driver fell asleep at the wheel, and the passenger reached over to take control, overcorrecting in the process. The vehicle went into a ditch and hit a large tire. The vehicle flipped upside-down before coming to a rest.
Police report that both the driver and a passenger in the back seat were pronounced dead on the scene of the accident. They also report that excessive speed may have been a factor leading up to the crash.
The victims of the accident have not been identified at this time, and there is no information available about the condition of the survivor. Police are still investigating the crash at the present time, and more information will be made available to the public as it comes to light.
