According to a representative from the Texas Department of Public Safety, criminal charges may be filed in the case.

March 30, 2019 – 3:00 am: Belinda Sanabria, 55, and her passenger Matias Sanabria Mendoza, both San Antonio residents, were killed in a two-vehicle crash that took place in central Texas early on Saturday morning. Sgt. Ryan Howard of the Texas Department of Public Safety states that criminal charges may be filed against the other driver involved in the crash.

The accident took place at the intersection of State Highway 31 and FM 2311.

Sanabria was driving a Hyundai sedan eastbound on SH 31, while the driver of the GMC SUV that hit her was headed southbound on FM 2311. According to Howard, the driver of the SUV failed to stop at a stop sign, hitting Sanabria’s vehicle.

Sanabria and Mendoza were both killed in the crash. A passenger onboard the SUV experienced what was reportedly an incapacitating injury, and was taken to Waco’s Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center. The SUV’s driver was also taken there with a possible injury.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is still investigating the crash at this time.
