Two Critically Injured in Drunk Driving Crash

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the driver responsible for the crash admits to driving while intoxicated.

March 24, 2019 – 2:00 am: Two drivers were critically injured in an accident that took place very early on Sunday morning. The 23-year-old male driver responsible for the accident admits that he was driving while intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The accident took place in northwest Harris County, on the 9100 block of Shoal Creek Drive.

The 23-year-old male was speeding when he hit the side of a minivan early on Sunday morning. The crash critically injured both the drunk driver and the 60-year-old woman who was driving the minivan. The force of the impact pushed the minivan into a ditch, according to officials from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital by Life Flight. As of 10:02 a.m. on Sunday morning, both of them were in critical condition.

Authorities state that the 23-year-old man responsible for the crash faces criminal charges in connection with the accident.

Investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time, and there have not been any updates on the drivers involved in the crash since Sunday. Deputies will release more information as it becomes available.
