Three Injured in Austin Hit-and-Run

According to the Austin Police Department, one of the injuries was to a child who is now in critical condition.

March 21, 2019 – 7:40 am: Three people were injured in a hit-and-run crash that left a child in critical condition on Thursday morning. The Austin Police Department is still searching for the driver who fled the scene of the crash.

According to police, the accident took place near the intersection of Palo Blanco Lane and Teri Road. A truck hit the back end and passenger door of a car that had turned from Palo Blanco onto Teri.

Police believe there were multiple occupants on the truck, which did not stop at the scene of the crash. Austin police state that they believe they know the identity of the driver. The driver will likely face charges of failure to stop and render aid.

The three occupants of the car were injured in the crash. The child is in critical condition.

None of those who were involved in the accident have been publicly identified at this time. Police are still investigating the crash and searching for the driver responsible for the crash. More information will be made available as it comes to light.
