15-Year-Old Killed in 4-Vehicle Crash

According to news reports, the young driver failed to control her speed and hit the rear end of a truck in Odessa.

March 21, 2019 – 5:00 pm: Besi Ortez, 15, was killed in a four-vehicle wreck that took place on Thursday afternoon in Odessa, Texas.

The accident took place at the intersection of Faudree and Highway 80, where Ortez reportedly hit a truck.

Odessa police report that Ortez was driving too fast and failed to control her speed, hitting the rear end of a truck. They report that she was killed in the accident, but there were no other injuries in the four-vehicle crash.

Police report that Besi Ortez was a native of Honduras. The driver of the truck she hit has not been publicly identified at the present time.

There is currently no information available concerning the identities of those who were involved in the crash or the circumstances that led the other two vehicles to crash. There is no indication that any factors other than failure to control speed were involved in causing the crash.
