According to news reports, the accident took place on Friday night, but the boy did not pass until Sunday.
January 18, 2019 – 11:45 pm: An unidentified teen boy has died after a crash involving his all-terrain vehicle. The crash took place Friday night, apparently due to a medical condition the boy suffers from.
The accident took place around 9300 North Wayside, near Tidwell in northeast Houston. The boy was riding in the woods at the time of the crash.
News reports state that the 15-year-old boy was riding his ATV on a trail in the woods when he apparently suffered from some kind of medical episode. Because of this medical episode, he lost control of the vehicle, leading to the crash.
The accident took place late Friday night, at which time the boy was taken to the Texas Children’s Hospital in critical condition. He survived the night and made it through Saturday, but eventually succumbed to his injuries and died on Sunday, January 20.
No additional information is available on the boy’s medical condition. This condition is believed to have been the cause of the accident. The investigation into the crash is still proceeding at this time.
