Teen Killed in Williamson County Crash

According to news reports, a 17-year-old was killed and there was at least one other injury in the 2-vehicle collision.

February 21, 2019 – 5:30 pm: Alexia Scordelis, 17, of Round Rock, was killed in a crash that took place in Williamson County on Thursday evening. The driver of the vehicle Scordelis was riding in, who is also 17, was injured in the crash and taken to an area hospital.

The crash took place on CR 117 at Bluffstone Drive, near Paloma Lake.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Scordelis was a passenger in a car that was going southbound, when the driver tried making a left turn onto Bluffstone Drive. A northbound truck hit the passenger side of the car at this time.

The truck driver, who was not injured in the accident, was cleared at the scene. Scordelis and the driver were both taken to a local hospital, where Scordelis later died.

No one else was involved in the crash, and no other injuries took place in the accident. The accident is still under investigation at this time, and DPS will release further information to the public as it becomes available.
