Shoplifting Teen Hit by Car After Fleeing Store

According to news reports, the teen was originally taken to Houston Northwest Hospital, but has since been transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

March 2, 2019 – 8:00 pm: An unidentified teen was hit by a car after reportedly stealing some ice cream from a gas station in north Harris County. The teen’s condition has not been made public at this time.

The crash took place at the corner of Louetta Road and Fireside Drive.

The accident happened when an employee of the store spotted the teen taking some ice cream and running out of the store. The teen was hit at the corner of the road just outside of the store.

Deputies of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office report that the teen is between 14 and 16 years old. The teen was taken to Houston Northwest Hospital at first, but for unknown reasons was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The condition of the teen has not been made public. The driver of the vehicle that hit the teen has not been identified at this time. No one else was injured in the crash, and it is unclear at this time whether any charges will be filed in connection with the event.
