Pregnant Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash

According to news reports, police have not yet found the individual responsible for the accident.

September 4, 2018 – 9:20 pm: A pregnant woman was injured when she was struck by a car while crossing the street in southwest Houston on Tuesday evening.

The accident took place on Fountain View Drive, near the Southwest Freeway. The woman, who was in her 30s and may be homeless, although investigators have not confirmed that, was crossing Fountain View Drive when she was hit. A gray coupe hit her, fleeing the scene after the accident.

The woman was listed in stable condition when she arrived at the hospital. She had a broken leg and bruising on her face, but officials stated that the woman’s unborn child was not harmed in the accident.

Witnesses on the scene said there was a fight going on in the street shortly before the woman was hit. It is not known yet whether or not the fight was directly related to the incident.

A short time after the woman was hit, police report that another person in the same area was struck by a gray coupe. Investigators are not yet certain whether the two accidents involved the same vehicle or not.
