Pregnant Woman and Unborn Child Killed in Two-Vehicle Wreck

According to police reports, the accident was the result of an unsafe lane change, leading to a crash and an outbreak of fire.

March 27, 2019 – 9:30 pm: Jade Gilliam, 19, and her unborn child were killed in a crash that took place in Fort Worth last Wednesday night. The unborn child’s father, Bobby Warner, 19, was driving the vehicle and is currently hospitalized in stable condition.

The accident took place near the entrance ramp from eastbound Interstate 20 to westbound Interstate 35.

Police report that Warner made an unsafe lane change onto the entrance ramp, leading to a collision with a pickup truck.

Gilliam was trapped in the back seat of the sedan after the crash, and was rescued by a pair of paramedics before she could be burned in the fire that broke out after the crash. Unfortunately, Gilliam and her unborn daughter were badly injured in the wreck and succumbed to their wounds on March 28.

The occupants of the pickup were not injured in the crash. No charges are expected to be filed in connection with the crash. Gilliam’s mother visited the paramedics to thank them for their efforts to save her daughter.

The accident is under investigation at this time.
