Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Hamilton Street

According to news reports, the man who was killed was standing by the side of the road at the time of the crash.

February 27, 2019 – 1:35 am: An unidentified 40-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash that took place very early Wednesday morning in Harris County. The driver of the vehicle that hit him fled the scene of the accident and has not yet been found.

The crash took place at the corner of Gray Street and Hamilton Street. The 40-year-old victim was struck by a silver Lexus SUV that was traveling westbound on Gray Street and turned south onto Hamilton.

According to police, the male victim died at the scene of the accident. He has not yet been identified, and his identity is pending verification from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The cause of this accident is still unknown at this time. Investigation is ongoing. Once found, the driver of the Lexus SUV is likely to face criminal charges for failure to stop and render aid, and possibly additional charges as well.
