Pedestrian Killed in Harris County Crash

According to news reports, the man was trying to cross a feeder road when he was struck by the vehicle.

February 27, 2019 – 7:32 am: An unidentified man was killed while crossing the street in Harris County near Jersey Village on Wednesday morning. There is no indication of the cause of the accident at this time.

The accident took place along a feeder road of the Sam Houston Tollway, at the corner with Philippine Street. The man was crossing the feeder road at the time of the crash.

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the driver of the vehicle was turning from the parkway underpass onto Philippine Street. That’s when they hit the man while he was trying to cross the feeder road.

A team of vehicular crimes investigators were headed to the scene when Gonzalez posted a tweet about the accident at 7:32 a.m. on Wednesday morning. As of 8:52 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the site of the accident was still under investigation and there was no additional information available.

No one else was harmed in the accident. The cause of the accident is still unknown, and police will release more information as it becomes available.
