One Killed, One Injured in Grand Parkway Crash

Reports state that a vehicle went airborne and landed in the bed of a pickup truck.

February 27, 2019 – 7:00 pm: One driver was killed and another was injured in a crash that took place on the northbound lanes of the Grand Parkway in Harris County.

According to reports from the scene, one of the vehicles hit a barrier and went airborne, landing on top of a pickup that was headed in the same direction.

The driver of the pickup reportedly died on the scene, while the driver of the other vehicle has been hospitalized.

All northbound lanes of the highway were shut down, and all but one of the southbound lanes were closed for several hours after the crash. The cause of the accident is unclear at this time.

The condition of the driver who survived the accident has not been announced. None of the identities of those involved in the crash have been made available to the public at this time. It is not known whether any charges will be filed in connection with the crash.

The accident is still under investigation, and police will release new information as it becomes available.
