According to EMS, one man in his 20s was pronounced dead on the scene and the others experience non-life-threatening injuries
February 27, 2019 – 9:00 pm: A man in his twenties was killed in a crash that injured four others in East Austin on Wednesday night.
The crash took place at the intersection of Springdale Road and East 7th Street. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, although information on the number of vehicles and the identities of those involved in the crash is not available at this time.
The man in his 20s was pronounced dead on the scene when first responders arrived, while three of the others were taken to the hospital for treatment. A fourth injured person refused medical treatment for the injuries. According to EMS, the injuries to those who were taken in for treatment were not life-threatening.
Roadways were closed at the site of the accident for a few hours after it took place. Police investigation, rescue work, and cleanup took some time.
