One Dead in Central Texas Crash

According to news reports, the accident took place late on Saturday night, near the airport in Temple.

 

February 2, 2019 – 11:30 pm: Random Allen, 38, was killed in an accident that took place on Saturday night in Temple County. The two-vehicle accident took place when one driver was pulling out of the Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport late on Saturday. Police have not commented on which of the vehicles Allen was driving.

The accident took place at the exit of the airport, while one of the vehicles was pulling out of the parking lot. It was hit by another vehicle headed along Airport Road.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after first responders arrived.

The Texas Department of Transportation and Temple Police have both been investigating the accident, with the Temple Police Department’s Traffic Reconstruction Unit being called in to help find the cause of the crash.

The other driver involved in the accident has not been publicly identified. He or she was not injured in the crash.

Police have not commented on whether the driver involved in the accident is likely to face charges or not. The crash is still under investigation at the present time.
