Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Pickup Tuck

September 1, 2018

Police report that the man was carrying a female passenger on his motorcycle at the time of the accident.

September 1, 2018 – 12:30 pm: A motorcyclist hit a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck on Saturday afternoon. The man was thrown from his motorcycle. He was later taken to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Both the motorcyclist and his passenger were thrown from the motorcycle and injured in the accident. Police have not yet released the identity of the 36-year-old man who was killed in the accident. The woman’s condition is unknown at this time, and her identity has not been released either.

The accident took place on the 6500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard, where the motorcyclist was driving northbound. He struck the F-150, which was driving westbound on Rapido Road.

Police say the driver of the pickup failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign. The pickup’s driver was not seriously injured in the accident. Barring any new discoveries, this makes it seem likely that the driver of the F-150 was at fault for the accident.

Police are still investigating the accident, so no charges have been filed at this time.
