Motorcyclist Injured in Very High-Speed Chase

According to Metro video, the motorcyclist reached speeds of 140 miles per hour while police were pursuing him.

March 12, 2019 – 11:45 pm: A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash that happened while he was evading police pursuit late on Tuesday night. The man’s identity has not been released at this time.

The pursuit began on Fry Road, near Interstate 10, where the man refused to stop when police tried to pull him over. He then led them onto Katy Freeway, then onto the West Sam Houston Parkway. He then made a U-turn and headed westbound on the service road for the Katy Freeway.

After a long chase in which he reached speeds of 140 miles per hour, the man hit the rear-end of a red SUV. He was seriously injured in the crash and has been taken to the hospital. His current condition has not been disclosed at this time.

Police have not commented on the criminal charges the man will face when and if he recovers. No one else was injured in the crash. Police are still investigating the event, and more information will become available as it is brought to light.
