Fort Worth Hit-and-Run Ends in Deadly Crash

According to Fort Worth police, the driver responsible for the hit-and-run hit a concrete wall and died as a result of the crash.

March 19, 2019 – 2:45 am: A hit-and-run crash early on Tuesday morning led to a deadly crash a few moments later.

The hit-and-run crash took place in Fort Worth, near the intersection of Berry and Hemphill Streets. One of the drivers left the scene of the accident and continued driving.

The other driver followed the driver responsible for the hit-and-run. Police report that the other driver found that the driver responsible for the hit-and run had hit a concrete wall near the bridge at Morningside and Main.

According to police, the man died at the scene of the crash.

Neither of the drivers has been publicly identified at this time. The cause of the accident is not known at this time, and Fort Worth police are still investigating.

Police have not commented on the possible role of alcohol or some other form of intoxication in this accident, but given the time and the nature of the crash this seems to be a distinct possibility. Police will release more information as it becomes available.
