High-Speed Single-Vehicle Crash in Northwest Houston

September 16, 2018

The ongoing investigation will help determine if alcohol or drugs were involved.

September 16, 2018 – 1:20 am: Two men died early on Sunday morning as a result of a high-speed crash in northwest Houston.

The two men, whose identities have not yet been released, were heading north on Washington around 1:00 A.M. on Sunday morning. They were riding in a white Lexus in the area on Washington where the road splits into Katy and Hempstead.

The driver lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a barricade, and down into a ditch. At that point the Lexus went airborne, hitting a tree before it came to a stop.

HPD arrived on the scene at about 1:20 A.M., at which time they found both men dead in the vehicle.

There were no witnesses on the scene when the accident took place, so this account is what the police have managed to piece together on the basis of physical evidence, including skid marks on the road.

The accident is still under investigation.
