One Dead, Two Injured in High-Speed Chase in Dallas

Police report that the man in suburban Dallas was a drug suspect who fled arrest, leading to his own death and injuries to two bystanders.

September 5, 2018 – 11:00 am: The 32-year-old Jamarese DeAngelo Coleman was killed in a wreck after leading police on a high-speed pursuit through suburban Dallas on Wednesday morning. Two other people were injured in the accident.

The incident began when police arrived at Coleman’s house, investigating a drug complaint. Coleman left the house and fled in his SUV.

After a high-speed chase, Coleman’s red Dodge SUV hit another vehicle in an intersection. Coleman was thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured. After the accident, he was taken to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his wounds and died.

The other individuals injured in the accident included the driver of the vehicle Coleman hit and a customer in an auto parts store near the scene of the accident, who was hit by a tire that flew off of Coleman’s SUV.

Neither of the other individuals was seriously injured in the accident. Police on the scene report that marijuana was found inside of Coleman’s SUV after the incident.
