According to a tweet from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy received a minor elbow injury in the accident.
March 27, 2019 – 12:00 pm: A Harris County deputy received some minor injuries when an 18-wheeler hit his parked patrol vehicle on Wednesday.
The accident took place near I-10 and Mason Road, where the deputy was conducting a traffic stop at the time of the crash.
The deputy was not in the vehicle when it was hit. The 18-wheeler hit the deputy’s vehicle and one other vehicle in the accident. The deputy suffered a minor injury to his arm while he was dodging the 18-wheeler.
The cause of the accident is not clear at this time. The driver of the 18-wheeler hit two parked vehicles in the crash. It is currently unknown whether there will be any charges or citations filed in connection with the accident.
