According to news reports, a woman hit a state trooper’s vehicle, killing a wrecker driver who was standing nearby.

February 23, 2019 – 9:30 pm: Gary DuBose, a Galveston wrecker driver, was killed in a crash involving a drunk driver while standing by the side of the road. The accident took place near the feeder road of Interstate 45 south, near Teichman Road in Galveston.

According to his friends, DuBose was “a great man, very kind and will be greatly missed.”
