Driver Seriously Injured After Hitting Stopped Pickup

According to news reports, deputies have said that alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.

March 12, 2019 – 12:30 am: A man was seriously injured when he hit the back end of a parked pickup in west Harris County very early on Tuesday morning. The driver of the pickup was not injured in the accident.

The accident took place at the intersection of Highway 6 and Pine Forest, where both vehicles in the accident were headed northbound on Highway 6.

The pickup, a Ford F-150, was parked at a red light. The victim was driving a black Chevy Cavalier and hit the back of the pickup.

The victim was seriously injured and pinned inside of his vehicle. Firefighters had to pry him out. He was evacuated from the scene and taken to the hospital by Life Flight as soon as possible.

The driver of the pickup was not injured in the accident. Neither driver has been publicly identified at this time.
