Driver Injured after Crashing into Grocery Store

According to news reports, no one in the store was injured at the time of the crash, but the driver was hospitalized.

 

January 21, 2019 – 3:00 pm: The driver of a blue Ford Mustang received minor injuries after his vehicle crashed into a La Michoacana grocery store on Monday afternoon. No one in the store was injured in the accident.

The crash took place while the Mustang was speeding through the parking lot of the store at 11340 Fondren Road in southwest Houston. Witnesses report that the driver missed a turn, crashing into a metal pole and running into the building’s stockroom.

The accident left a large hole in the wall of the building. The cost of the damage done to the store is not known at this time.

The driver complained about pain in the arms and chest. Witnesses saw him walking around the parking lot before EMS arrived to take him to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is not clear at the present time. Police are still investigating the crash. The driver has not been publicly identified, and the man’s current condition has not been made available at this time.
