Hit-and-Run Accident Kills Two Near Austin’s Airport

News reports state that an unknown video struck the truck the two victims were riding in.

September 27, 2018 – 9:00 am: Two men were killed on Thursday morning in a hit-and-run accident in the area of Austin’s airport.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash took place at the intersection between the access road to State Highway 130 and Pearce Lane in Austin.

An unknown vehicle blew through a stop sign and struck a black 2000 Ford Ranger pickup truck, which was driving east on Pearce Lane at the time of the crash.

There were two men in the Ford Ranger at the time, and both of them died as a result of the crash.

Police are seeking help finding the driver and the vehicle responsible for the crash, although they don’t have much to go on at this time. DPS officials can’t offer any description of the vehicle beyond the fact that it’s likely to have “significant front end damage.”
