Aramark Employee Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident

August 30, 2018

News reports say that the woman who was injured was working the Texans vs. Cowboys game Thursday night.

August 30, 2018: Amie Thibodeaux, a 28-year-old Aramark employee, was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident while crossing the street after she got off work at the Texans v. Cowboys game Thursday night.

Thibodeaux was crossing the street to catch a bus. The driver of the vehicle that hit her was found and arrested, and a blood test was undertaken to determine whether or not he was under the influence of alcohol.

Thibodeaux was hospitalized with multiple injuries, including broken bones, a lacerated spleen, and bruised kidneys. Doctors say it’s possible that she’s suffering from internal bleeding as well.

Although Thibodeaux had identification on her person, it took some time for her family to be notified about the accident, because she did not have any emergency contact information on her. Tawana Thibideaux, Amie’s mother, said, “She usually calls her brother to tell him she made it to the Northwest Transit Center. He never got the call.”

The family is now waiting for their daughter to wake up. The accident is still under investigation, and there is no final word on whether charges will be filed.
