9-Year-Old Girl hit on her Way to School Thursday Morning

According to authorities, the girl was conscious and breathing at the time she was taken into an ambulance.

March 28, 2019 – 7:30 pm: A 9-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle on her way to school on Thursday morning. She was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital in the Texas Medical Center in unknown condition.

The accident took place on the 15000 block of Sierra Sunset Drive, off Woodlands Hills Drive a short distance north of Beltway 8. She was on her way to school when she was hit, and may have been walking to school at the time of the accident.

She was hit near a Humble ISD elementary school, and was a student of Ridge Creek Elementary. Her condition is unknown at this time.

Reports state that a school counselor rode in the ambulance with the girl, while her mother followed behind the ambulance.

The girl has not been identified at this time, and the circumstances leading up to the accident are unclear. Police are still investigating the accident, and more information will be made available as it comes to light. The cause of the accident is still unclear at this time.
