One Dead, Two Injured in Manor Crash

According to news reports, the front passenger of the SUV involved in the crash was pronounced dead at the hospital.

February 18, 2019 – 5:20 am: One unidentified person was killed and two others were injured in a crash involving an 18-wheeler and an SUV in Manor, Texas on Monday morning. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured in the accident.

The crash took place at Highway 290 and Cedar Street in Manor, where the SUV was headed eastbound while the 18-wheeler was on the turnaround making a westbound turn. The immediate cause of the accident is unclear at this time.

Police had to free the driver and front passenger of the SUV from the vehicle after the accident. The driver, front passenger, and rear passenger were all taken to the hospital. The front passenger was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, while the driver is in emergency care and the rear passenger was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic on eastbound Highway 290 was shut down for a time after the crash, and traffic was redirected at FM 973 while preliminary investigation and cleanup were underway.

Identities of the victims have not yet been released. The accident is still under investigation at this time.
