Man Killed in Sunday Morning Crash in Valley View

According to news reports, the man had pulled over to the side of the road and was standing beside his vehicle when he was hit.

 

February 3, 2019 – 3:40 am: Timothy Kramer, 52, was killed early on Sunday morning after being hit by a 1999 Chrysler 300. He had hit a guard rail and was pulled over to the side of the road – his 2014 Chrysler 300 having been disabled by the impact.

Kramer hit the guardrail on the northbound lanes of I-35 near mile marker 485. He got out of the vehicle to examine it. He was hit by the Chrysler while standing in the roadway.

When police arrived on the scene shortly afterward, Kramer was pronounced dead.

There were four occupants of the Chrysler that hit Kramer. They were all taken to Medical City of Denton with non-life-threatening injuries. None of them has been publicly identified at this time.

The interstate was shut down for investigation for about three hours after the accident took place. There is no indication that the driver of the vehicle that hit Kramer will face charges for any wrongdoing. The crash is still being investigated at this time.
