One Killed, Several Injured in Church Bus Crash

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, six children were injured in the crash, but none of the children received serious injuries.

April 17, 2019 – 5:30 pm: One adult was killed, two adults were seriously injured, and six children were injured in a crash involving a church bus in Warren, Texas on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash took place just outside of Warren, Texas, roughly 80 miles northeast of Houston.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the bus from the First Baptist Church of Warren was heading down the highway when a car pulled out from a driveway right in front of it. The driver swerved to avoid the car, losing control of the vehicle in the process.

The bus left the road and hit a tree. One adult passenger was killed in the crash. The bus driver and an adult passenger were injured. Six children were taken to the hospital with injuries.
DPS reports that the adults were seriously injured in the crash, but the children were not.

The names of those who were injured in the crash have not been made public at this time. DPS continues to investigate the crash.
